Mother’s Day Mini Sessions are coming… 🤍

I’m so excited to be hosting this year’s Mother’s Day photoshoots in my brand new Ashford studio.
These sessions will feature a beautiful, bespoke floral installation created by the incredibly talented Events in Bloom. Soft, romantic florals paired with gentle tones will create a warm, magical setting — perfect for capturing timeless, heartfelt moments between mums and their children.
These sessions are designed to celebrate motherhood in all its forms. Mums-to-be, nans, and any special women in your family are very welcome. Each session includes up to two adults and three children. If you’re hoping to include more, just let me know before booking so I can plan the logistics and make it work for you.

• 20-minute sessions

Mother’s Day Mini Session Style Guide
These Mother’s Day minis are designed to feel soft, elegant, and full of connection. Think romantic florals, gentle movement, and timeless tones that photograph beautifully together. Below is a simple guide to help you choose outfits that complement the set and create cohesive, heirloom-style images.
Overall Style
-
Romantic
-
Soft & feminine
-
Light, airy, and timeless
-
Natural textures with gentle movement
If it feels comfortable, classic, and a little bit magical — you’re on the right track.
Colour Palette (Highly Recommended)
Soft neutrals and muted pastels photograph best with this floral setup:
Best colours:
-
Cream, ivory, soft white
-
Blush, dusty rose, ballet pink
-
Taupe, beige, sand
-
Sage, soft olive
-
Muted mauve, soft peach
Accent colours (use sparingly):
-
Warm browns
-
Soft floral prints that include the tones above
Colours & Styles to Avoid
To keep the images cohesive and timeless, please avoid:
-
Bright or neon colors
-
Heavy blacks or dark navy
-
Bold patterns or large logos
-
Strong contrasts (black & white outfits together)
-
Athletic wear or graphic tees
These can pull attention away from faces and connection.
Outfit Suggestions
For Mums
-
Flowing dresses or skirts
-
Soft fabrics like linen, cotton, chiffon, or tulle
-
Midi or maxi lengths photograph beautifully
-
Subtle textures (lace, pleats, embroidery)
Comfort is key — if you feel good, it will show in your images 🤍
For Children
-
Simple, classic outfits
-
Neutral or pastel dresses, rompers, or soft tops
-
Barefoot or neutral shoes (optional)
-
Layers like cardigans or bloomers are perfect
Co-ordinating (Not Matching!)
Aim for coordinated tones, not identical outfits. Choose 2–3 colors from the palette and mix them across the family for a natural, effortless look.
Example:
-
Mum in a blush dress
-
Child in cream or soft floral
-
Neutral layers to tie it all together
Hair & Makeup
-
Soft, natural makeup is best
-
Neutral tones with a gentle glow
-
Hair worn down, softly curled, or loosely styled
-
Avoid heavy styling sprays that can stiffen movement
Final Tips
-
Steam or iron outfits beforehand
-
Try outfits on at home so everyone feels comfortable
-
When in doubt, simpler is always better
-
Most importantly: come ready to cuddle, laugh, and love on your people
These sessions are about connection, tenderness, and celebrating motherhood — just as you are.
