Newborn Photography
If you're looking for a newborn photographer who will focus on capturing timeless and heartfelt images of your newborn baby, their precious, tiny details and all the love that surrounds that baby bubble, then you're in the right place!
My sessions are mostly carried out in the comfort of my clients homes and theres nothing you need to do or prepare for my visit, I will bring absolutely everything we need for the session, including lighting, wraps for your baby and even have a selection of outfits for Mum too if you wish. I also have a beautiful space in Ashford I hire for sessions when needed, so if you'd prefer that, then that's always an option for you too!
You'll see my style is very natural and I promise your session will be relaxed, unique to you and hopefully thoroughly enjoyable too! All we need is some nice window light (but don't worry I will bring studio lights too incase your set up isn't ideal), a bedroom, nursery or living space and I capture you and your baby there.
I have years of experience in photographing babies and families and being a mother myself, I know just how fast that newborn stage passes and how quickly they change, so preserve those memories and book your newborn photography session with me!
When should I book?
My diary is constantly fully booked months in advance, and I only conduct 3 sessions per week so do get in touch just after your 20-week scan in order to guarantee your spot in my diary. I only book a limited number of newborn sessions per month so that I can be as flexible as possible with my availability for you once they arrive. As we know, estimated due dates, really are just an estimate and these babies are on their own schedule, but it allows me to work the diary well, allowing for plenty of flexibility.
Do you come to me?
Yes! I love the relaxed, natural style of 'in home/ lifestyle' sessions as the memories within the photos will always mean so much more to your baby when they grow up and look at these photos, they'll want to see what 'home' looked like at that time, what the background to their baby bubble was and all the love and care that you've put in to it will shine through. However, I totally understand that having visitors during this newborn stage can be daunting and I wouldn't want to add any extra pressure to you, so if you would rather have the session carried out elsewhere, then I have a very beautiful, safe and cosy space that I hire near Ashford which you're very welcome to come along to instead!
Please note.. I cover most of Kent but do limit my travel time to 45 minutes from Ashford.
How old should my baby be for the photoshoot?
Newborn sessions are typically conducted when your baby is between 5 and 14 days old for those real sleepy, fresh newborn images, but i'm very aware that life and obstacles can pop up with newborn babies, so this isn't a set rule, whatever their age, I can still guarantee a gorgeous final gallery for you.
How long does a Newborn Photography session take?
On average, my sessions usually take anywhere between 1-3 hours, it's all done at your babies pace and theres always plenty of time to feed, settle and chat and take it all in.
Investment
My session fee is £99 which is payable upon booking and covers my time on the day and the editing process. Once your images have been edited, around 2 weeks afterwards, I send you an online secure link to the watermarked gallery where you can then see the finished images and can then choose a package that best suits you. How do I book?
If you would like to secure your newborn photoshoot with me, then do get in touch. I can check my availability for you around your due date and I ask for the £99 session fee at this point and your booking is then secured.
